Don't Go Away

I'm running out of song names for blogpost titles!

Okay, went to watch Ip Man on um, Saturday. With Aaron, Pang Wee, Quan Xiang and Sherry. It was pretty awesome. Like good fight scenes and the whole Japanese invasion of China thing. And it was funny and sad and just really good in general. :D There were Japanese people sitting behind us, which was a little bit ironic and made me wonder why Japanese actors would want to act in roles that portray their country negatively.

Currently have a study/ movie date with the hobos tomorrow! We're going to watch Australia, which would make it my third movie in six days. After almost half a year of no movies! Heh. (Natty, this is your cue to call me a loser again.)

And something else about Runescape (ASIDE FROM THE FACT THAT IT IS TAKING OVER MY LIFE), the doors to some room in the dwarven mine bear some resemblance to the doors to the mines of Moira in Lord of The Rings. :D I like to think that the Runescape creators purposely made a reference to LOTR. Heh.

I will now either go try to clear out my music folder, or traverse Youtube for Muse and Athlete. (And maybe R.E.M. and Belle and Sebastian and Stars and I STILL WANT TO GO FOR THE STARS CONCERT.)

If She Wants Me

I love Christmas. :D Okay not the frantic shopping part, but the festive happy part.

Yesterday I went out with my awesome Daisy! We went to watch Gail carol then we went for lunch then Gail and I played counterstrike at some cybercafe and then Jasmine and I went to watch Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist! Haha it had no plot but it wasn't bad. And there were two really cute guys! Heh. Oh oh and I also got an Athlete CD which has bonus DVD stuff for ten dollars! So awesome. :D

I just died on Runescape because I was blogging and wasn't paying attention! But this awesome person repaired my grave for me so that I could go back and get my stuff! A massive thank you to Kyleen196. :D

Today was emergency Christmas shopping with Eunice and Jane. Haha I didn't get any presents but I did get black skinnies! I'm quite happy, I think this is the first article of clothing I've bought for myself this year. Heh.

Shawn helped me with my Math! Haha I'm very happy about that too. My husband is so useless in comparison, heh.

I didn't really use to like Belle and Sebastian, but I just listened to a bunch of their stuff on Youtube and it's pretty awesome. *hearts*

Running Up That Hill

Okay I have tons to blog about but obviously not everything is going to make it up here.

I'm tired and I am going to study tomorrow. D:

Bandfest concert was today, it was pretty fun. But then, in hindsight I realised that I did something really stupid, which was to miss the performances of the Verdi and honour band. Well okay maybe missing Verdi's couldn't be helped, but it was really stupid not to watch the honour band. D:

As it happens, my section was taking pictures in the dressing room, from intermission all the way to the end of the concert. I'm pretty amazed by that. Haha I'm still waiting for people to add me and I want the pictures! But I don't seem to be able to open my email right now.

After the concert, went for dinner at Macs. Been eating out for the past few days, and I always always cannot finish my food!! I have to eat anyway but I feel really bad when I don't finish my food. ):

It's going to be so weird not having band tomorrow or seeing the percussion people. Guh. Sleepy.

Okay forget it. I just sort of fell asleep in front of the computer for a while, and Map of the Problematique came on on my ipod and woke me up. Such a good song. *heart*

The Boys Of Summer

Okay, today was somewhat shitty. I felt really weird and got really depressed somewhere in there, and it was to levels that I have not visited in a long time. BANDFEST MAKES ME DEPRESSED. Rhymes. :D

Concert tomorrow! And I still can't play! Which contributed to the depression and I cannot describe how weird the weird feelings were. It was kind of like some gnawing feeling in my stomach and I just wanted to crawl out of my skin and not be there then.

Okay so emo. Heh.

On to other things, I met Xinliang and Ersy's friend, Geraldine! Okay actually I met her yesterday but I didn't really talk to her until today. And she taught me the five stroke roll! But I still don't know when to use it hahaha.

I also saw the Rat and my mother today! Haha in layman terms, Jane and Amelia. Was at Westmall and then they kind of surprised me from behind and I did a very Jocelyn thing and kind of flung myself at Jane. I was depressed and hug-deprived! I think I scared her. Heh. (: (: (: I miss Crescent quite a bit.

Okay I'm sorry for the spamming but I needed to flail incoherently at my stupidity for a bit. (Actually I don't think those words are supposed to be used together but whatever.)

Seven Nation Army

Okay it's 3am and I want to sleep but since I kind of collapsed on my bed at 11pm, I figure me being awake now won't kill me much tomorrow. Guh.

Alright, BandFest. It's kind of like been my whole life for the past three days. Um, it's pretty interesting I guess, but the number of new people kind of scares me a little. My human interaction quota has been way, way fufilled. Now I would just like to hole up with my electronic devices. Heh. I guess this is what they mean about people being isolated with technology?

Anyway, I think it's pretty cool that PJ band stays back to play games. Haha! It's quite fun.

Okay but I cannot get along well with people I don't know very much so I've been feeling pretty much awkward and uncomfortable so far. Ughughugh.

On to today! We got a different percussion tutor from yesterday, and she's pretty interesting! She's from Japan and is small and kind of cute. She studies percussion at NUS, which is all sorts of awesome. And the way she plays mallets kind of makes us go OMG WHAT. :D I kind of can't wait to go back to school and practice. She made us visualise stories for the songs and then made the people who weren't playing march and dance. Heh. And omg I can actually hear the difference between using the German and French grips on the timpani and it's just really fascinating. :D :D :D

Swing Your Heartache

I just watched LOTR 2! Hee. I love the battle scene(s). And okay now I realise some bits are pretty cheesy (especially with low quality DVDs), but still! Battle scenes just make me go :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D. Swords! And bows! I am such a sucker for old fashioned fighting.

And elves! They reduce me into a gooey mess of melted happiness. Elves in hoods! And the part where Haldir brought the elves to Helm's Deep. Awesome. (:

I realise Frodo doesn't really do much else besides looking scared, sad, confused and conflicted.

Another of those freak-out-I'm-so-screwed posts.

JLPT tomorrow, and I spend most of my day sleeping (which gave me a headache ugh), playing runescape, reading Anansi Boys and watching LOTR.

Omg I love LOTR. Like heartheartheartheart forever. Natalie would take this as proof of my geekdom, but I remember their names! Even the more minor characters. Though, I have to go read up orc origins sometime, apparently they used to be elves. Heh. And Legolas is probably the only thing I like Orlando Bloom as. He makes a really pretty shiny elf. (: Aragorn is awesome. Happy!

Until I think of JLPT tomorrow and my state of unstudiedness. D:
